What you get
A Chrome extension that turns phimbro.com into a synchronized cinema for up to three people.
Play, pause, and seek for everyone at once. If one person starts buffering, the room waits. Nobody watches a scene alone.
Typing indicators, grouped messages, hover an avatar to see who sent what, and message bubbles that take on whatever theme the room is wearing.
Peer to peer video and audio for the whole room, with STUN and TURN fallback for awkward networks. Speaker and headphone modes for clean movie audio.
Six digit codes, up to three people, and a lock the host can flip at any time. Locked rooms ask newcomers for a four digit password.
Five synced sound effects, ten floating reactions, and pin mode to stick an emoji on the exact spot of the frame you are yelling about.
Video call, chat, and soundboard snap into one connected panel beneath the film. Toggling fullscreen no longer drops the call for anyone.
Sync
Anyone scrubs, everyone lands together
One person scrubs and the whole room moves with them. Rewind for a line somebody missed, skip the bit nobody likes, pause to argue about it. You all stay on the same second of the film.
Rooms
A room opens with nothing but its code, so a friend can drop straight in. Flip the lock and Binger starts asking for a four digit password at the door instead.
Hover the lock. Click it to flip the room.
Video call
Three people, three direct links, no server in the middle
Your camera and mic go directly to the people you are watching with, browser to browser. If a network gets awkward about it, a relay quietly takes over and the call carries on.
Personalize
Pick one and Binger repaints everything: overlay, chat bubbles, buttons, the video call frame, and the soundboard. Change it and the whole room changes with you. Four themes bring their own weather.
This page is wearing them too. Go on.
In the chat
Flip bot mode on in the chat bar and the room gains a fourth voice. Ask it anything about the film, or describe a scene and it will take you there.
React together
Everything lands on every screen at once. Reactions drift up and fade. Pins stick to the exact spot on the frame you dropped them, each with its own little performance.
Tap one to send it. Drag one anywhere to pin it.

Questions
Three. You do not have to wait for all three though. Two of you can get going and the last one joins whenever they turn up.
Yes. The syncing, the chat and the call all run through Binger, so everyone at the movie night needs it installed.
It puts a four digit password on the door. Everyone already inside carries on undisturbed, and only the host can change the lock or the password. Treat it as a deterrent against someone guessing your room code rather than a vault.
Sort of. You pick a username and a password the first time you open Binger, and that is the whole signup.
Describe the moment you are thinking of and Binger reads the film's subtitles, works out what happens across each stretch of it, and finds the part that matches you best. Then it takes the whole room there. It remembers each film afterwards, so asking again is instant.
Nine times out of ten somebody is running an older build. Get everyone onto the same version and it sorts itself out.
Yes, and it always will be. Binger is a passion project, not a product.
